About us

We are the Pinedas! Our mission is to glorify God by being obedient in His calling on our lives. We wish to empower and disciple the families of Honduras through humanitarian care and support. Josué is a native to Honduras who married Katherine in 2015. Josué answered the Lord’s call to repentance and redemption through His son Jesus Christ in 2013. He started working alongside the Christian Community in Honduras full-time doing maintenance and handiwork in their clinic located in Taulabe, Comayagua, Honduras. This is where Katherine and Josué met while she was living in the clinic teaching English to the locals and kindergarten classes. Katherine was born and raised in the church accepting Christ as her Savior at the age of 12 and only finding fulfillment in Him ever since. Katherine started doing short-term missions in Honduras in 2012 and full-time in 2015. The Lord brought us together for His purpose. We later returned to the states to raise money for legal status and to build a family. Unknowingly, the Lord used this time to work on the spiritual growth of our family and prepare us for full-time ministry. Now in 2025 our family is complete with three children and the Lord has called us back to full-time ministry as His hands and feet. It’s amazing to look back at the past ten years and see the Lord’s plan for our lives unfold. We have sold our home in the states and are currently living in an RV fundraising to pursue the Lord's calling on our lives into full-time ministry in Honduras. We have 10+ years of missions experience working alongside the Christian Community in Honduras. We have been invited to voluntarily serve full-time with their ministry. We will help with maintenance running the clinic, short-term trip coordinating, communicating community needs and current events, fundraising, construction projects (church planting etc.), and local church outreach and discipleship events.
